Fair Winds Farm bred - Well Said Wins Pepsi North America Cup
Well Said established a stakes, track and Canadian record of 1:48.1 in the 26th edition of the $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup final at Mohawk on Saturday June 27.
Well Said, a son of Western Hanover – Must See, now has three wins in four starts this year and $788,500. The winner of the Breeders Crown in his last juvenile outing in 2008, the colt won $601,000 that season and therefore goes over $1.3 million in earnings with tonight’s effort.
Bred by Fair Winds Farm of New Jersey and Steve Jones of New York, Well Said was a $240,000 yearling at the Harrisburg Sale. He is the second foal of the $562,000 winning Artsplace mare Must See (first foal See And Be Seen $226,000). Must See is a full sister to $2.2 million winner Glowing Report.
